Cafe Hopping in Ipoh - Nellis Cafe

Assalammualaikum..

Among the café that I got a chance to hop in was Nellis Café. Located just behind Sekeping Kong Heng, my first love fell with their rustic concept from the entrance to their interior. First thing that attracted me was their signage that made of rustic wood, painted in red and written as “OPEN” .
Seconds is their door which made of old wooden door, i believe Nellis Cafe had recycled it from the garbage because it looks so "countryside". Third, is their displaying window at the facade of this cafe. This is so cool in my eyes. It reminsinced the old shop back in the 60's and i truly believe this shoplot has been in existence since the 60's or maybe older. Credit should be given to this cafe and Sekeping Kong Heng for sustaining the bulding pattern which can hardly found in mordernize Malaysia nowadays. If you really a rustic lover, this cafe is the right place for you to chill in Ipoh.

My travel partner and i stop right there quite long just for picture, and we eventually entered the cafe to have some light food and another pictures again! Hihihi

Menu serve are mostly local food. We have been warmly invited by a yummy nasik goreng aroma, lively cooked from thier small kitchen.

Menus and prices

               Cafe's Kitchen and cashier counter.

That is their menu list. Really a cheapskate presentation using wrinkle A4 paper.

              Table and chair arrangement

                  Panorama view

I had some french fries in a bowl

                    Art of origami

Taraaaa.... Look at the wall.. A peeling and vanish paint. Looks less beutiful but this is their main attraction.

                    The art of wall

Okay thats all about Nellis Cafe. I truly recommend this cafe if you are:
1. Rustic lover (like me)
2. Photo lover (like me)
3. Cafe hunter

Hehehe till my next post!

Cafe Hopping in Ipoh - Patisserie Boutique Cafe

So yeah.. i was in I.P.O.H last week!

I always assume Ipoh like Batu Pahat (my home town). A small town, less fancy, less shopping complexes, looks ordinary but truthfully, Ipoh stand on its own identity. If you really google about what so happening in Ipoh, you may discover that Ipoh actually have a lot of boutique hotels and cool cafes. Some blogger wrote them as "Hipster cafe" . On top of that, Ipoh have variety of food choices and the most signature food is of course their Nasik Ganja. Sounds illegal but worries, it is not a real ganja though.  It is just a fancy name to describe how addictive the rice will taste.. Exaggerating right? hehe.. Mmg addictive pon! I will blog about this later ok!

I particularly write this entry to show you guys this cafe-

Patisserie Boutique Cafe

Located within Sekeping Kong Heng vicinity, this cafe just few steps away from the Sekeping Kong Heng entrance. Just nearby and no sweating for walking. hehe

The signboard. So Paris! So Eiffel!

Taraaaaaaaaaaa! Old shop but look at their interior...

Simply modern with Paris-element.

I love their interior!

Patisserie is unique for having a romantic ambiance inside their cafe. Visitor is served  with a simple decoration with minimal table arrangement. As you can see, the dim light shining down the Eiffel tower mural as well as their menu board, this has make the cafe look even pleasant. Romantic music is turn on. If you can see, there is a small room (just next to Eiffel mural) for "family space". Anyone who come along with families or a big group can enjoy the room. The room is a bit isolated from other guest but the decoration is rather beautiful. It was fully occupied during my dine here.

So we sat at this table..

At the corner.

We purposely chose this spot, so that we can have perfect view for our photo collection hihi. And i love their window frame so much because the design is so vintage.. The available sunlight makes the place shine so bright. Just perfect for a love birds who dating. That is us- waiting for our chocolate drink. Reflecting the cafe name, menu served are mostly pastries and coffee.

Iced chocolate - Yeah one mug for two as we really want to safe cost. Its quite expensive here (for me),  this cup had cost us RM 15, almost similar to a branded coffee shop in KL  Luckily we just had our heavy lunch before touring, so we don't really feel like eating. We are here just to feel hipster hihih chilling and chatting while appreciating the interior design. And of course i am so busy taking pictures hihihi

Ok i'm done with this post.
I will blog about Nellis Cafe in my next post, so..stay tune!

Thanks for reading me!
